The tall yellow flowers in the background of this photo are native sunflowers. They can be aggressive and take over a space. We always use the sticks and strings to conquer this giant. The Herbal Husband and I tackled the job today. At one point, The Herbal Husband was muttering to himself. I asked what was wrong and he said he thought he had trained the stems to stand upright so that we could put the string around them easily and they would listen! I can't make this stuff up!
